Does the interim manager need CQC approval to act as Registered Manager?
For interim Registered Manager roles, the individual must be registered with CQC as the Registered Manager of the service. AJG Advisory will manage the CQC notification and application process as part of the interim engagement, ensuring compliance with registration requirements from day one.
What is the typical length of an interim management engagement?
Interim engagements are typically three to twelve months, depending on the situation. Short-term crisis stabilisation may require a three-month engagement, while a complex turnaround or long-term vacancy cover may require six to twelve months. Engagements are reviewed regularly and extended where needed or concluded when a permanent appointment is made.
