GOOD BUSINESS CHARTER

Responsible business. Better relationships.

AJG Advisory Services Limited is accredited by the Good Business Charter.

The way we run our business matters to the people who work with us, the care providers we support and the suppliers we rely on. These commitments explain how AJG Advisory Services Limited puts responsible business into practice across the MyCare family.

These are commitments of AJG Advisory Services Limited, the company operating the MyCare family. They describe how we run our business and support people; they do not certify a software product or confer CQC approval.

The Good Business Charter’s ten components

Our ten commitments

Real Living Wage

Why it matters
People should be paid fairly for the work they do.
How we put it into practice
We commit to paying directly employed staff and regular contractors at least the independently calculated real Living Wage, reviewing pay against the relevant rates.

Fairer Hours and Contracts

Why it matters
People need working arrangements they can plan their lives around.
How we put it into practice
We provide at least two weeks’ shift notice except genuine emergencies or circumstances that could not reasonably have been anticipated. Scheduled shifts cancelled with less than two weeks’ notice are paid in full. Staff can request predictable hours without penalty.

Employee Well-being

Why it matters
A supportive workplace recognises that people have lives and needs beyond their roles.
How we put it into practice
Regular communication, supervision and welfare conversations give staff space to discuss workload, stress and support. We take a fair approach to sickness, discuss return-to-work support and consider reasonable adjustments. Where appropriate, we signpost staff to their GP, NHS services and independent charities for support. This is signposting, not an employee assistance programme.

Employee Representation

Why it matters
Staff should be able to influence the workplace and speak up safely.
How we put it into practice
Staff can raise suggestions, concerns and feedback directly with management, through supervision and through complaints or whistleblowing routes. We listen, consider what needs to change and explain next steps.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Why it matters
Everyone should have a fair opportunity to contribute and be treated with dignity.
How we put it into practice
Recruitment decisions focus on suitability, values, qualifications and experience. We consider individual needs and reasonable adjustments, encourage inclusive communication and address barriers to participation. We have zero tolerance of bullying, harassment, discrimination and victimisation. Staff can raise concerns directly with management, through supervision, or through complaints or whistleblowing routes. We investigate concerns fairly, communicate progress and outcomes, and explain next steps.

Environmental Responsibility

Why it matters
Everyday choices can reduce unnecessary resource use.
How we put it into practice
We favour electronic documents, online meetings and digital workflows, reduce unnecessary printing and travel, and look for practical ways to avoid waste. Our environmental monitoring is currently informal and is being strengthened. We do not claim measured carbon reductions or carbon neutrality.

Pay Fair Tax

Why it matters
Responsible businesses contribute fairly and keep clear financial records.
How we put it into practice
We commit to paying applicable taxes, keeping accurate records, meeting filing requirements and using allowances and reliefs for their intended purposes.

Commitment to Customers

Why it matters
Customers deserve clear information, accessible support and fair treatment when something goes wrong.
How we put it into practice
We explain product availability and pricing, welcome feedback, consider accessibility needs and investigate complaints fairly. We communicate progress and outcomes and use what we learn to improve.
Customer service and complaints

Ethical Sourcing

Why it matters
Purchasing decisions should reflect the standards we expect of ourselves.
How we put it into practice
We consider supplier reliability, data protection, employment practices and ethical conduct. We commit to applying Ethical Trading Initiative Base Code principles and relevant animal-welfare standards where applicable.

Prompt Payment to Suppliers

Why it matters
Suppliers need predictable payment, especially small businesses and independent contractors.
How we put it into practice
We commit to paying valid, undisputed invoices within agreed terms and no later than 60 days. Suppliers with fewer than 50 employees are paid within 30 days.
